YOU WILL NEED:
- Kunin© Classic™ Felt Craft Cuts 9” by 12”– Ocean Blue, Lagoon, Aqua, Peacock, Bright Lilac, Violet Sky, Purple Pizazz, Prickly Purple
- Straight Pins
- Embroidery Needle
- Anchor Embroidery Floss Spools – 0132 Cobalt Blue Medium Dark, 0102 Violet Very Dark
- Scissors – Regular
- CORD KEEPER PATTERN SHEET
INSTRUCTIONS:
To begin the Cord Keeper, gather all supplies. Download, print and cut out the pieces from the pattern sheet. Pin the base pattern and the pocket pattern onto Kunin© Classic™ Aqua and Prickly Purple Felt. Carefully cut out with scissors.
STEP 1
Pin the pocket pattern onto Kunin© Classic™ Ocean Blue, Lagoon, and Peacock Felt, and then cut out with scissors. Pin the pocket pattern onto Kunin© Classic™ Bright Lilac, Violet Sky, and Purple Pizazz Felt, and then cut out with scissors. You can also trace the patterns onto the felt with a marker. For each Kunin Felt Cord Keeper you will need one base and four pockets.
STEP 2
Place the square felt base on your work surface and layer the first triangular felt pocket on top lining up the edges.
STEP 3
Rotate the square felt base and layer the second triangular pocket on top of the first. Make sure to line up the edges.
STEP 4
Layer the third triangular felt pocket on top of the first and second. Making sure that all the edges are lined up.
STEP 5
Layer the fourth triangular felt pocket on top of the first three. Lift the corner of the first triangular felt pocket and tuck the corner of the fourth one underneath.
STEP 6
Secure the layers with several straight pins so they all stay in place for stitching.
STEP 7
Thread an embroidery needle with embroidery floss, and blanket stitch around all four edges of the Cord Keeper. Secure the end with a knot and trim any long ends with scissors.
