10 DIY Faux Felt Plant Crafts

Create some greenery to brighten up your space with 10 DIY Faux Felt Plant Crafts featuring a brand new craft from Creatively, Beth! Her Dollar Store Pineapple Jar Craft is a fun, fast and thrifty project.

Using simple supplies from the dollar store, and Kunin® Classic™ Felt, create this quick and easy upcycled Pineapple Jar Craft in just about 30 minutes. Since the pineapple symbolizes hospitality, this would make the perfect gift for a new homeowner, new co-worker, or even the kids Teacher.

YOU WILL NEED:

INSTRUCTIONS:

STEP ONE

Gather all supplies. Wash, dry, and remove labels from the lid and glass jar. Basecoat the glass jar with light yellow multi-surface acrylic craft paint. Let dry, and apply a second coat, if necessary.

Basecoat the metal jar lid with dark green multi-surface acrylic craft paint. Let dry and apply a second coat, if necessary.

STEP TWO

Topcoat the glass jar with dark yellow multi-surface acrylic craft paint in a random fashion, allowing some of the light yellow basecoat to peek through in certain areas.

STEP THREE

Apply dark brown multi-surface acrylic craft paint to the raised diamond pattern on the glass jar. Dip the side of a flat paintbrush in the dark brown acrylic paint and tap onto the glass to mimic the rough exterior of a pineapple.

STEP FOUR

Download, print and cut out the Pineapple Jar Pattern. Attach the pineapple crown pattern to Kunin® Classic™ Olive Green Felt with straight pins and cut out with scissors.

Attach the pineapple crown pattern to Kunin® Classic™ Kelly Green Felt with straight pins and cut out with scissors.

STEP FIVE

Layer the Kunin® Classic™ Olive Green Felt crown on top of the Kunin® Classic™ Kelly Green Felt crown, securing the short end with a glue gun and glue sticks. Carefully and tightly roll the Olive and Kelly Green Kunin® Classic™ Felt pineapple crown, securing periodically with glue. Make sure to keep the bottom edge straight as you roll and glue.

STEP SIX

Attach the complete Kunin® Classic™ Felt pineapple crown to the top center of the jar lid with a glue gun and glue sticks. Wrap natural jute twine around the jar lid, knot and then finish with a bow.
