Throughout my design career I have had the opportunity to connect with many talented artists and designers. Several of those have become dear friends as well. All of them are creative caring individuals who share their vision, art and craft with the world. Recently I have had the great pleasure of connecting with felt artist Paula Carlson who will be the featured designer for Kunin during November and December.

Her work is beautiful; the embroidered felt wall pieces are vibrant and rich. In her own words she explains the vision of her work. “Solsken” is the Swedish translation for sunshine and through her artwork; Paula hopes you will find exactly that…threads from the sun, a heartfelt connection between you and those who grace your life. Although we have not met in person yet, through our messages back and forth I have been both impressed and inspired by the sweet and humble nature of this lovely woman who loves Kunin Felt as much as I do! Her last message “I truly would not have gotten this far with my craft without the felt product Kunin provides. It is the foundation of my work…”
