YOU WILL NEED:
- Kunin© Classic™ Felt Craft Cuts 9” by 12”– Shocking Pink, Aqua, Prickly Purple
- Straight Pins
- Embroidery Needle
- Anchor Embroidery Floss Spools – 0054, 0088, 0433
- Scissors – Regular and Detail
- Permanent Black Marker
- PIGGY BANK PATTERN SHEET
INSTRUCTIONS:
STEP 1
To begin the Piggy Bank, gather all supplies. Download, print and cut out the front and back pieces from the pattern sheet. Pin the patterns onto Kunin© Classic™ Shocking Pink, Aqua, and Prickly Purple Felt. Carefully cut out with scissors.
STEP 2
Trace the coin slot onto the front of each piggy bank pattern using a fine tip permanent black marker.
STEP 3
Carefully cut out the coin slot from the front of each piggy bank pattern using detail scissors. Remember to cut outside the traced line for a clean, finished project.
STEP 4
Layer the front and back piggy bank felt pieces together. Trim any uneven edges with scissors. Secure the layers with several straight pins so they all stay in place for stitching. Select colors of Anchor Embroidery Floss on spools that coordinate with Kunin© Classic™ Shocking Pink, Aqua, and Prickly Purple Felt. Mix and match YOUR favorite colors of felt and floss to create a personalized piggy bank.
STEP 5
Thread an embroidery needle with embroidery floss, and blanket stitch around the outside edge of the piggy bank. Secure the end with a knot and trim any long ends with scissors.
