Create a trio of Kunin© Classic™ Felt Woven Heart Baskets as a fun way to teach weaving and make adorable Valentine’s for family and friends. There are FREE printable patterns that have been included below to make this a quick and easy craft to complete with the kiddos. Select a custom variety of colors for each person to create a unique gift.

YOU WILL NEED:
- Kunin© Classic™ Felt Craft Cuts 9” by 12”– White, Baby Pink, Candy Pink, Shocking Pink, Fuchsia, Red
- Straight Pins
- Scissors
- Glue Gun and Glue Sticks
- Ruler
- Permanent Marker
- Paper Shred
- Wrapped Candies
- WOVEN HEART BASKET PATTERN SHEET
INSTRUCTIONS:
STEP 1
Download, print and cut out the large and small heart pieces from the pattern sheet. Fold the felt in half horizontally and line up the straight edge of the pattern along the fold.
STEP 2
Pin the large heart pattern onto Kunin© Classic™ Candy Pink Felt. Carefully cut out the perimeter of the with scissors.
STEP 3
Cut up the three lines with scissors. Remove the straight pins and the pattern from the felt.
STEP 4
Repeat the above steps with the Kunin© Classic™ Shocking Pink Felt.
STEP 5
When folded in half the strips becomes loops for weaving.
STEP 6
Start the weaving process by threading the Shocking Pink folded strip through the Candy Pink folded strip.
STEP 7
Continue weaving the Candy Pink folded strip through the Shocking Pink folded strip.
STEP 8
Starting the next folded strip in the opposite format, continue weaving the strips in and out.
STEP 9
Repeat the weaving process by alternating all four folded strips in both colors, until the heart is complete.
STEP 10
Once both halves of the heart are woven together, they will create a basket.
STEP 11
To strengthen the structure of the basket, secure the woven strips with hot glue.
STEP 12
Measure and mark a long skinny rectangle 1” wide by 10” long from Kunin© Classic™ Shocking Pink Felt. Cut out with scissors.
STEP 13
Attach the ends of the handle to the top center of each side of the woven heart basket with a glue gun and glue sticks.
STEP 14
Repeat the above steps with the small heart pattern using Kunin© Classic™ White and Red, Candy Pink and Shocking Pink, Baby Pink and Fuchsia.
Fill the Kunin Felt Woven Heart Baskets with paper shreds and wrapped candies. Customize the baskets for giving to family and friends.
