St. Patrick’s Day is just around the corner. Celebrate the Luck ‘O the Irish with this colorful door décor that is a fun alternative to a traditional wreath.

Here’s what you will need:

• Kunin Classics™ Felt 9” x 12” Craft Cuts – Red, Orange, Yellow, Apple Green, Lagoon, Royal Blue, Orchid, Pirate Green, Neon Green, Gold and Goldenrod (one each).
• Kunin Premium™ Felt 9” x 12” Craft Cuts– White and Black (two each).
• JOY SA Iron On Embroidered Letter
• Expo International – Claudia 2” Fan and Lattice Lace. Ric Rac assorted Rayon – Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Light Blue, Royal Blue, Purple
• Beacon Adhesives Felt Glue
• Scissors, Pencil, Permanent Marker, Plain Paper, Straight Pins, Craft Iron.

Here’s how to make it:

Step One:
Measure and cut a 1” wide by 12” long strip from Kunin Classic™ Felt Red, Orange, Yellow, Apple Green, Lagoon, Royal Blue and Orchid. Cut out with scissors. TIP: Remember to cut inside the lines so that you have a clean finished project. Adhere coordinating color Ric Rac to Felt strips, set aside to dry.

Step Two:
Draw a cloud shape onto plain paper, cut out and then pin to Kunin Premium™ Felt White. Cut out. Repeat on second piece of white felt. Draw a kettle shape onto plain paper, cut out and then pin to to Kunin Premium™ Felt Black. Cut out. Repeat on second piece of black felt.

Step Three:
Attach the top of the rainbow strips to the base of the cloud and the bottom to the edge of the kettle with Beacon Felt Glue. Apply additional glue and layer second cloud and kettle on top. Attach lace pieces to cloud and jumbo black ric rac to top of kettle. Set aside to dry.

Step Four:
Select message then pop out letters from JOY SA Iron On and Embroidered letter sheet. Line up on kettle and iron on according to package directions. I used the tail from the “Q” as the apostrophe.

Step Five:
Trace and cut 1” circles from Kunin Classic™ Felt in Gold and Goldenrod. Attach coins to the top edge of the kettle in a random pattern. Cut out a small, medium and large shamrock from Kunin Classic™ Felt Neon Green, Apple Green and Pirate Green. Layer and attach to kettle with Felt Glue, placing a green button in the center.
