No holiday season is complete without an ugly Christmas sweater party! Bring the party into the classroom by holding an ugly Christmas sweater contest with your students. This DIY ugly Christmas sweater craft is the perfect craft for your students to express their creativity and let their imaginations soar. Let’s grab our supplies and let’s get started!

You Will Need:
• 9” x 12” craft cut of Kunin® Classic Felt™ in red and white
• 9” x 12” craft cut of Kunin® Corduroy™ in yellow and white
• 12” x 18” craft cut of Kunin® Premium Felt in Cashmere Tan
• Cardstock in various colors or patterns
• Mini plastic ornaments (optional)
• Scissors
• Adhesive (Hot glue or felt adhesive)
• Jute cord
• Mini Clothespins
• Sharpie marker
• TULIP Fabric Markers
• Sizzix Bigz Die – Santa Hat (Item#A11084)
• Sizzix Bigz Die – Gingerbread Man Item (#A10150)
• Sizzix Bigz Die – Santa Head (Item #A10396)
• Ellison SureCut Die – Star, Puffy – Large (Item #14740-LG)
• Sizzix Bigz Die – Circles 1″ & 1 1/2″ (Item #A10212)

1. Print out the FREE ugly christmas sweater template onto a variety of colors of cardstock. Use a scissors to cut out each shirt.
2. Use a Sharpie marker to add details to your DIY Christmas ugly sweater. Encourage your students to add swirls, zigzags, stripes, and other fun designs.
3. Using your Ellison Prestige Pro Machine and Sizzix Bigz Die – Santa Hat (Item#A11084) die, die cut a Santa hat from 9” x 12” craft cuts of Kunin® Classic Felt™ in Red and from 9” x 12” craft cut of Kunin® Corduroy™ in white. Cut out each section of your Santa hat and adhere with hot glue or felt glue. Add plastic ornaments or other embellishments to make your sweater as tacky as possible.
4. Using your Ellison Prestige Pro Machine and Sizzix Bigz Die – Santa Head (Item #A10396) die, die cut a Santa head from 9” x 12” craft cuts of Kunin® Classic Felt™ in Red and white and from 12” x 18” craft cut of Kunin® Premium Felt in Cashmere Tan. Cut out each section of your Santa head and adhere with hot glue or felt glue.
5. Another option is to create a tacky gingerbread Christmas sweater! Using your Ellison Prestige Pro Machine and Sizzix Bigz Die – Gingerbread Man Item (#A10150) die, die cut a gingerbread man from a 12” x 18” craft cut of Kunin® Premium Felt in Cashmere Tan. Use TULIP Fabric Markers to decorate your gingerbread man. Add various sizes of buttons to your gingerbread man to make it stand out. Use your Sizzix Bigz Die – Circles 1″ & 1 1/2″ (Item #A10212) die to die cut circles from a 9” x 12” craft cut of Kunin® Classic Felt™ in red. Adhere the circles and gingerbread man to your DIY ugly Christmas sweater paper craft! Add plastic ornaments to your sweater if desired.
6. Hang your DIY ugly Christmas sweater paper crafts with jute cord and mini clothespins.
7. These paper craft ugly Christmas sweaters are the perfect addition to any classroom tree! They will also look great as a garland for your next party, too!
