Welcome Easter Bunny Door Sign

Hello Crafters!

Easter is nearly here and I have a simple and fun Door Sign craft project for you. I could not resist to use the new Corduroy Felt in Candy Pink and Yellow and our Premium Felt for the bunny silhouette.

Here is my supplies list for my “Welcome Easter Bunny” Door Sign:

  • KuninFelt Corduroy in Candy Pink
  • KuninFelt Corduroy in Yellow
  • KuninFelt Premium in Copper Canyon (for the Bunny)
  • Kunin Classicfelt in Apple Green (for the “WELCOME” letters)
  • Kunin Classicfelt in Orange (for Center of White Flower)
  • 11.5 by 11.5 piece of white or cream fabric
  • 1 or 2 wood dowels
  • Light green ribbon
  • Sizzix Big Shot Die Cutting Machine
  • Felt was cut with Sizzix XL Dies:
  • Fresh Blossoms Alphabet by Stephanie Ackerman
  • Easter Elements by Tim Holtz
  • Aleene’s Turbo Tacky Glue and Hot Glue
  • Scissors

Step 1
Cut your corduroy felt in 2-inch strips to make the background for the sign. I used (4) 2-inch strips in Candy Pink and Yellow, and (1) 1-inch strip in Candy Pink for the background. You can adhere these strips to the fabric piece using a light layer of tacky glue. TIP: Since the KuninFelt corduroy sheets are thinner than the ClassicFelt sheets a light layer of glue will work and then the glue will not bleed through, you can experiment but I just a lighter layer of glue to start.

Step 2
Die cut all of the pieces for the WELCOME, Bunny and Bunny Ribbon using your Sizzix Big Shot with the Sizzix XL dies. After you have the pieces cut, you can arrange them onto the background. TIP: Don’t adhere them onto the background until you are positive on your final design, you can use tacky glue or hot glue to adhere them.

Step 3
In order to make this a door sign, you will need to adhere 1 or 2 wood dowels to the fabric sheet. The felt and fabric are not heavy, but the dowels will provide additional support to the sign. You can hot glue the dowels to the fabric and then add a ribbon to the top dowel.

Step 4
Now, you are ready to let you craft project dry and then once dry – hang it on your front door, kitchen or family room for your enjoyment!
