It is springtime (well almost anyway) which translates to me as CARROT season. I love the orange and green together and believe that Mother Nature knows what she is doing when it comes to coordinating colors. I created these reusable felt carrot wraps for our kiddo’s Easter table this year and totally love them.
You will need:
- 1 yard Kunin Eco-FiPlus™ Premiumfelt™, orange (makes 4)
- 9” x 12” craft cuts Kunin Eco-Fi™ Classicfelt™, 4 green
- Scissors, pins, ruler, pencil, fabric adhesive or sewing machine and matching thread.
TO make them, I cut out a large circle in orange (using the trash can for my guide). It measures 16 inches in circumference. I also cut out a few green pieces to use as leaves, being careful not to cut the fold where I will bend them in half.
I carefully placed the leaves on the edge of the circle.
Using my sewing machine, I stitched the leaves on and went all the way around the circle to create a “finished” looking masterpiece. I used a zig zag stitch. If you don’t have a sewing machine, you could do this step by hand stitching or with a fabric glue.
The next step is the folding. Lay your circle on a plate. Fold the bottom up over your silverware then wrap the sides around.
Ta Da!
