YOU WILL NEED:
- Kunin© Classic™ Felt Craft Cuts 9” by 12”– Red, Orange, Gold, Apple Green, Peacock Blue, Violet Sky, Smoke
- Permanent Marker – Black
- Chalk Pencil – White
- E6000 Fabri-Fuse Liquid Fabric Glue
- Scissors
- Pinking Shears
- MEMORY MATCHING GAME PATTERN SHEET
INSTRUCTIONS:
STEP 1
To begin the Memory Matching Game, gather all supplies. Using a ruler and white chalk pencil, measure the 9” by 12” Kunin© Classic™ Smoke Felt into twelve squares that are 3” by 3”. There is also a pre-measured square included on the pattern sheet.
STEP 2
Cut the outside edges of the Smoke Craft Cuts with pinking shears right along the edge. Then cut the twelve squares using pinking shears. Kunin Felt won’t fray when cut, so it is perfect for a quick and easy kids project like this memory game. You can also use straight scissors, if you don’t have pinking shears.
STEP 3
Download, print and cut out the Matching Game pieces from the pattern sheet. Select the color that each shape will be cut from. The triangle to Red felt, diamond to Orange felt, circle to Gold felt, star to Apple Green felt, square to Peacock Blue, and the heart to Violet Sky felt.
STEP 4
Trace each shape twice onto the bright and bold colors of Kunin© Classic™ Felt with a permanent marker or attach the patterns with straight pins. Get the kiddos involved in the creating process.
STEP 5
Cut out all the shapes with scissors, inside the traced lines, so you have a clean finished project. Experiment with colors, shapes, and have fun. Use easy shapes and basic felt colors for younger kids or more complicated shapes and felt colors for older kids.
STEP 6
Attach the assorted felt shapes to the Smoke felt squares with Fabri-Fuse Liquid Fabric Glue from E6000. Fabri-Fuse is perfect for this application because it retains a bit of elasticity even when dry, so the game pieces will take the wear and tear that the kiddos will give! Set aside to allow the glue to dry completely.
