Create an easy DIY Cactus Bookmark with Kunin© Classic™ Felt in bold and earthy colors. A traditional bookmark with fun embroidery accents is super easy to make, and affordable, with the FREE printable patterns that have been included below.

YOU WILL NEED:
- Kunin© Classic™ Felt Craft Cuts 9” by 12”– Olive Green, Gold, Copper Canyon
- Anchor Embroidery Floss Spools – 0054, 0255, 0360
- Permanent Marker – Black
- E6000 Fabri-Fuse Liquid Fabric Glue
- Scissors
- Embroidery Needle

INSTRUCTIONS:
To begin the felt bookmark, gather all supplies. Download, print and cut out the cactus pieces from the pattern sheet. Straight pin the cactus pattern onto Kunin© Classic™ Olive Felt, the flowerpot patterns onto Kunin© Classic™ Copper Canyon Felt, and the flower patterns onto Kunin© Classic™ Gold Felt.
STEP 1
Cut out all patterns with scissors. You can also trace the patterns onto the felt with a black marker. Just remember to cut inside the traced lines for a clean, finished project.
STEP 2
For added dimension, attach the flowerpot rim to the flower pot base with E6000 Fabri-Fuse liquid fabric glue. Set aside to allow glue to dry.
STEP 3
Thread an embroidery needle with green embroidery floss and create a running stitch pattern along the entire length of the cactus and both arms.
STEP 4
Thread an embroidery needle with brown embroidery floss and create a cross stitch and running stitch pattern across the width of the flowerpot.
STEP 5
Layer the two felt flowers on top of each other. Thread an embroidery needle with pink embroidery floss and create the flower center with a cluster of French knots.
STEP 6
Assemble the DIY Cactus Bookmark by attaching the cactus to the flowerpot and the flower to the cactus with E6000 Fabri-Fuse liquid fabric glue. Set aside to allow glue to dry completely.
