Felt Snowman Hoop Ornament

It’s definitely feeling cold enough to snow here in North Carolina lately, so this Felt Snowman Hoop Ornament is perfect for the holiday season!  It’s definitely going on my tree!

Time:  30 minutes

Skill Level:  Beginner

YOU WILL NEED:

9” x 12” craft cuts Kunin Classicfelt in White, Black, Orange, Minty and Candy Pink

Scissors

Felt Glue

4” Embroidery Hoop

Embroidery Needle

Embroidery Floss in White and Purple

STEP 1

Cut two pieces of white felt roughly 5 inches long.   Give the tops curves to look like hills of snow.

STEP 2

Remove the top hoop of the embroidery hoop by unscrewing the screw.    Place the Minty felt on the bottom hoop.  Place the White hills of snow near the bottom on top of the Minty felt.   Return the top hoop over the felt and bottom hoop and tighten the screw.

STEP 3

Turn the hoop over and trim the excess felt.

STEP 4

From the White, Black, Orange, and Candy Pink felt cut your snowman pieces.  There should be three body pieces, eyes, nose, two arms, a hat and a scarf.

STEP 5

Using felt glue, glue your pieces onto the Minty background.

STEP 6

Thread your white embroidery floss onto a needle and stitch snowflakes onto the Minty background.   TIP:  They do not have to be perfect or even the same size or shape.

STEP 7

Thread your purple embroidery floss onto a needle and stitch the words “Let it Snow” in the snow across the bottom of the ornament.

I hope you enjoy this adorable little Felt Snowman Hoop Ornament!  It is super easy and even the kids can help out.  It would be fun to see how they decorate their snowman or snowwoman!
