I hope you are enjoying Spring and all of the fun crafting projects it brings. I have a Sweet Bunny greeting card for you today. Let’s get started:
You will need:
- (“ x 12” craft cut of Kunin Premium felt in Sandstone – for bunny face and ears
- 9” x 12” craft cuts of Kunin Classic felt in Candy Pink, Lagoon, Yellow and Cocoa Brown
- Sizzix XL die (Canning Jars) for the bunny face
- Sizzix XL die for the zig zags
- Sizzix XL die for mini flowers
- Hand cuts of all Classic felt, to make the ears and eyes
- White greeting card (5” by 7”)
- Tacky Glue
- Gemstones for Nose
- Small buttons for flower centers
- Fabric Scissors
Die cut and hand cut your felt pieces. Die cut the large circle for the face, the zig zags and mini flowers. For the hand cuts, you can begin with the ears (in sandstone and candy pink) and then cut the small eye pieces. Once you cut these pieces you can center them for placement on the card. Designer Tip: All of these cards can be made with hand cuts, you do not need the dies to make this project a success, use a circle from a canning jar, for the zig zags – you can cut them using pinking shears and the mini flowers can be hand cut too.
Next, glue the felt pieces with tacky glue. Designer Tip: I would recommend that you use light dabs on all of the pieces that will touch the card so that the glue doesn’t warp the paper.
Finally, tacky glue your gemstone for the Bunny’s nose and the buttons for the mini flowers. I used a larger pink gemstone for the nose.
Thank you for visiting the Kunin Felt Blog, I hope you have a joyful Spring and Easter celebration!
