Six Felt Valentine Crafts

The New Year is here and so is TECHNIQUE TUESDAY! We have rounded up some of our very favorite Valentine crafts to inspire you to stay warm and craft during the chilly month of January. We are having an Artic freeze and lots of snow, BRRR!

Did you know you can emboss our felt? My inspiration for the “sugar cookies” came from seeing a pretty plateful on Pinterest that were stamped with beautiful patterns.

THE TECHNIQUE: Die cut or cut out hearts from a pattern. I used our cream and cashmere tan felt for a cookie base. Cut out pink and white hearts for cookie tops. Pink edges. Glue cookie pieces together and run through the die cut machine with an embossing folder two or three times. Make a plateful in a matter of minutes.

Felt can also be molded and shaped easily like these fortune cookies designed by DT member Beth Watson. Get Beth’s tutorial here.

Beth Watson also designed this striking Ombre fringed heart. THE TECHNIQUE: The dip dyed look is created by using several shades of felt. The felt fringes beautifully. Use small sharp scissors. Full tutorial here. http://kuninfelt.wpengine.com/?s=Ombre+heart

Love this kind of shower, raining hearts, so pretty from DT member Laura Kelly. Make it here.
