This felt décor is perfect to brighten up the winter days that lead into February, the month we celebrate our Valentines. With an element of hand stitching, it is a fantastic hand-made piece to create and give as a gift.
You will need:
- 9″ x 12″ craft cuts Kunin Classicfelt: White, Red
- White Embroidery Floss and Needle
- Scissors
- Sewing Machine
- Poly-Fil Stuffing
The first step is to create your cloud. You can make this any size you would like but you will need two pieces EXACTLY alike. I recommend cutting them out at the same time from white felt. Set them aside.
Cut lots of red hearts. I used my Ellison Superstar Machine and a heart die but you could freehand cut them too.
Sew the hearts together in strands with the embroidery floss.
Add one heart to the front piece of your cloud.
Sew your cloud together with a small piece of ribbon or fabric as a hanger, leaving a small hole to stuff it. Stuff it to the bulkiness you desire then hand stitch it closed.
To add your heart strands, sew them on with embroidery floss. Ta Da!
Darling, right? You could make these in a variety of sizes and also into pillows.
You can now find an expanded color line of Kunin Eco-fi Classicfelt; Eco-fiPlus™ Premiumfelt and ShaggiChic non-wovens fabrics in cut by the yard at your local Walmart; please inquire as to what is available in your area.
