I am so excited to share with you the release of a new book, “Harry Potter Homemade” by the very creative and talented Lindsay Gilbert. In her own words Lindsay in the introduction remarks ” this official book of homemade Harry Potter crafts and recipes helps you bring that magical cozy feeling of the Wizarding World into your own home all year long.”

Lindsay has included as one of her craft projects the cutest felt bookmarks in the book and the patterns and full instructions are in the book as well, Harry Potter Handmade available on Amazon and at Barnes and Noble.

All of the delightful projects, some for every season share behind the scenes magic and insightful information to satisfy any Harry Potter fan eager to know more. The crafts and recipes are easy to follow with photos and full instructions to recreate in your own home. The felt “Creature Companion Bookmarks” are Harry’s owl Hedwig; Hermione’s cat, Crookshanks; Ron’s rat Scabbers; and Neville’s toad, Trevor.

Lindsay came to visit and brought along her new book so I had the opportunity along with Laura Kelly Walters and Beth Watson of the Kunin Felt Design Team to make a craft from Harry Potter Homemade. We loved the bookmarks and I made Crookshanks, Hermione’s cat. It turned out so cute I turned it into a pin for my denim jacket too!
