Kawaii Lucky Charm Stuffie

How to Make a Kawaii Lucky Charm Stuffie

Are you excited as we are about the new movie Luck! Everyone should carry around a little Luck and how perfect for back to school, How to Make a Kawaii Lucky Charm Stuffie! Attach this cute character to a back pack or any bag for instant smiles, little hugs and that lucky feeling.

Time:  1 hour or less

Skill Level:  Beginner

You Will Need:

STEP 1

To begin the Kawaii Lucky Charm Stuffie, gather all supplies. Download, print and roughly cut out the pattern sheet. Use the color suggested or choose one of Kunin Felt Brand other great green shades .

STEP 2

Attach the paper pattern to Neon Green Kunin® Classic™ Felt craft cut with straight pins, and then cut two out with scissors (regular, straight scissors). You can also trace the pattern onto the felt with a marker, just make sure to cut inside the traced line for a clean, finished project.

STEP 3

There are different types of eyes you can use but for the specific cute Kawaii look, the round shape eye with flat back gives the most authentic look. I used safety eyes with a shank which can be cut off slightly. Poke a small hole and insert eye. Glue in place or use safety back. Trim off end of shanks.

STEP 4

Shake dimensional paint slightly and squeeze on scrap felt to practice and have even flow. Keep wet Qtip handy just in case. Make a small circle on eye. This highlight is another important Kawaii feature, which does mean cute.

STEP 5

Make small cheeks by first out lining circle, fill in. Repeat.

Use black paint to add smile. As soon as you start, you will see the smile. You can draw a fine line first with marker or pencil.

Set the Kawaii Lucky Charm face aside to dry.

STEP 6

Cut a small slit in center of second piece. Once front is dry place face down and add loop of ribbon at top. Run a line of glue around edge and place back on to front. Press firmly and clamp corners. Depending on adhesive used, drying time will vary slightly. Make sure it is thoroughly dry. (To make a flat character as shown above; add a cute bow and ta da you are done!)

STEP 7

Insert poly-fil through small opening in back. Glue a small shamrock over opening or a heart or initial. TIP: on small stuffies or softies this gives a uniform even shape. Hope you have enjoyed How to Make a Kawaii Lucky Charm Stuffie!
