I am excited to share a Butterflies Thank You Card this month. I am ready for spring crafting, I am ready to craft using all of the spring colors like yellow, blue, pink and green!
Time: 30-40 minutes
Skill Level: Beginner
YOU WILL NEED:
Product: 9″ x 12″ craft cuts Kunin Classicfelt in Sandstone and Yellow
Optional: Basic Shapes Sizzix XL die cut and Big Shot Cutting System
A2 sized greeting card in blue
Tulip Puff Paint in Pink Glitter and White
Tacky Glue and Hot Glue
Thank you stamp, dotted circle stamp and black stamp pad
Let’s get started by die cutting and hand cutting your felt pieces. If you do not have a die cutting system, you can easily hand cut these pieces to make a simple butterfly shape.
- 1 Sandstone butterfly
- 2 Sandstone mini hearts
- 1 Yellow butterfly
- 2 Yellow mini hearts
Now you will need cut the mini hearts to become wings for the butterfly die cuts. You can glue the wings to the butterfly with tacky glue.
I then took the puffy paint and added dots and stripes to the butterfly wings. Note: Take your time and carefully apply the puffy paint. It will take about 20-30 minutes for the puffy paint to dry, I have a mini fan (cool air) that I use to help speed up the drying process.
Take the card, scrapbook paper (I picked a lighter blue color) and stamps and have fun! There are no rules with stamping, and if you are nervous – practice your stamps on a note pad.
I stamped the background dotted circles and then the Thank you on the scrapbook paper strip which I placed on the bottom edge of the card with tacky glue
Next, you can use a glue gun or tacky glue to adhere the butterflies to the card, and your card project is finished!
Thank you for visiting the Kunin Felt Blog and have a wonderful Spring!
