Every family needs The Thankful Pocket to fill with notes of all of the things we are thankful for! This is a project that can be used during the month of November, or even the entire year! We all have things to be thankful for!
Time: 1 hour
Skill Level: Easy plus simple embroidery
YOU WILL NEED:
9” x 12” craft cut of Kunin Premium Felt: Sandstone
Ribbon
Hot glue gun
Cutting mat
Cutting ruler
Rotary Cutter
Embroidery Floss (I picked brown)
Embroidery Needle
Scissors
Sharpie or marker
Cardstock
STEP ONE
Using a cutting mat, cutting ruler and a rotary cutter, cut two 6” x 6” squares from the Sandstone felt.

STEP TWO
With a sharpie or other kind of marker, write the words The Thankful Pocket on one of the squares.

STEP THREE
Thread the needle with the embroidery floss. Tie a knot at the end and begin stitching the letters using a backstitch.

STEP FOUR
On the other square, hot glue the ribbon to two of the edges to make it easy to hang.

STEP FIVE
Hot glue the top square to the square with the ribbon glued to it. TIP: Make sure to have the back of the stitching and the glued ribbon pieces on the inside of the pocket.

STEP SIX
Cut cardstock into strips and use these to write what you are thankful for. Place them in the pocket!

You could write daily thankful notes or you could have the family write them out at your Thanksgiving gathering.

I hope you like this thoughtful little pocket that can be filled with your thankful thoughts!!!
