DIY Rainbow Card

by Rina Gonzales

Hello Crafters!

This month I am excited to share a craft that will be great for birthday, get well and just because – a “Rainbow and Clouds” Card!

Here is my supplies list for my project:

• Kunin Classic felt in Red, Orange, Yellow, Apple Green, Royal Blue and Orchid
• Kunin Plush felt in Polar White
• Hand cuts of all Classic felt, to make the “Rainbow”
• Hand cuts of the Plush felt, to make the “Clouds”
• Kraft greeting card (5” by 7”)
• Tacky Glue and Hot Glue Gun
• Mini gemstones for “Rain Drops”
• Fabric Scissors

STEP 1

Hand cut your felt pieces. You can begin with the red piece (largest) and then cut the other pieces of the rainbow. Once you cut the rainbow pieces you can center them for placement on the card. Next, cut the plush felt and check for placement on the card.

STEP 2

Next, glue the felt pieces with tacky glue or hot glue. For the plush cloud pieces, you will need to cut a smaller piece as a base for the clouds.

STEP 3

Last, you can tacky glue your mini gemstones for the “Rain Drops” of the card. I used clear and blue gemstones.

Thank you for visiting the Kunin Felt Blog, I hope you have a very fun time using this Rainbow project for your family and friends!

You can now find an expanded color line of Kunin® Classicfelt; Kunin® Premiumfelt and Corduroy non-wovens fabrics in cut by the yard at your local Walmart; please inquire as to what is available in your area.
