The end of the school year is the time when many Girl Scouts bridge to the next level. Darling little Daisy scouts become Brownies. Brownie scouts become Juniors. Junior scouts become Cadettes. Cadettte scouts become Seniors! Often the bridging ceremonies are elaborate and well planned with songs, dances and speakers. These rainbow pin swaps are symbolic to the ceremonies and easy peasy to make. They would make great gifts for leaders to give scouts or scouts to give to younger scouts who are bridging up.
You will need felt in the colors of the rainbow as well as in white, pinking shears, pin backs and glue.
Cut your rainbow strips ¼ inch wide by 2 inches long.
Create your cloud with white. I used my die from Ellison Education (Badges) to make mine but a pattern might be helpful too.
Glue the color strips to the bottom of your cloud.
Then glue your cloud in half to enclose the strips.
Add a pin to the back and let it all dry.
Ta Da!
You can now find an expanded color line of Kunin® Classicfelt; Kunin® Premiumfelt and ShaggiChic non-wovens fabrics in cut by the yard at your local Walmart; please inquire as to what is available in your area.
Cheers to Girl Scouts!
