Sometimes the best gift ideas for Mother’s Day are homemade. Kunin Felt Products are the perfect solution for those homemade crafts. I am excited to share with you a Mother’s Day craft idea for kids & toddlers that Mom will cherish forever! Let’s grab our supplies and let’s get crafting!
You Will Need:
- 9″ x 12” craft cuts Kunin Classicfelt™ in a variety of colors
- Washable paint (Crayola preferred)
- Cardstock – white (poem), pink (hearts), green (stem)
- Ribbon
- Hole punch
- Adhesive
- Permanent marker
- Sizzix Bigz XL Die – Banner, Ribbon
- Free Mother’s Day Poem Printable
Using an Ellison SuperStar Machine, die cut a Sizzix Bigz XL Die – Banner, Ribbon in a variety of colors of 9″ x 12” craft cuts Kunin Classicfelt™. I used washable paint to paint a handprint onto each pennant banner.
Cut out a stem for the flower using green cardstock. Using pink cardstock or construction paper, use a hole punch in the shape of a heart to add a heart in the middle of your painted hand. Adhere the heart and stem to the felt pennant banner using hot glue or another form of adhesive.
I used my Ellison SuperStar Machine to die cut another pennant banner in white cardstock. Adhere the felt pennant banner to the white cardstock pennant banner. This will help the banner to stay firm. Using a hole punch, punch two holes in the top corners of each pennant. Add ribbon in any desired color to allow for hanging. Print and adhere the free Mother’s Day printable to the back of the pennant banner. Tada – doesn’t it looks great?
This school year is certainly flying by! The weather is beginning to get warmer, the flowers are beginning to bloom and my kindergarteners are truly blooming too! What I love most about this craft project is how well the paint sticks to Kunin Felt. The possibilities are endless with Kunin Felt Products.
You can now find an expanded color line of Kunin Eco-fi Classicfelt; Eco-fiPlus™ Premiumfelt and ShaggiChic non-wovens fabrics in cut by the yard at your local Walmart; please inquire as to what is available in your area.
