- Kunin Eco-Fi® ClassicFelt Cut by the Yard – Orange (1 yard)
- Styrofoam Wreath Form

- Patterns
- Americana Paints by DecoArt Festive Green and Spiced Pumpkin
- Paper; Permanent Marker; Scissors; Paint Brush; Ruler; Cardboard 12” by 15”; Self-Healing Mat; Craft Knife; Hot Glue Gun and Glue Sticks; Aquarellable white and black pencils by Stabilo.
Here’s how to make it:
Download and print Patterns HERE. Cut out, trace on to paper and cut out again.
Base coat three quarters of wreath form Spiced Pumpkin and one quarter Festive Green. Let dry and apply a second coat.
Measure Cardboard with a 2” by 15” hat brim and a 12” by 9” hat top.
Cut cardboard hat out with a craft knife on a self-healing mat. I thought that this shape was a bit too square, so I measured in ½” on both sides, draw a new, slightly diagonal line and re-cut the hat shape.
Paint the border and edges of the hat with Festive Green, let dry.
Fold one yard of Kunin Eco-Fi® ClassicFelt Orange in half along the 36” width. Cut 1” wide strips of felt with scissors. I used my metal ruler as a width measure and cut each by hand, no measuring.
Attach one orange felt strip to each side of wreath starting at the green/orange intersection, wrapping around and securing ends with hot glue.
Starting at the 6 o’clock mark in the orange section of the foam wreath. With loop along the outside edge, pull ends through loop and tighten to create knot.
Continue knotting orange felt stripes around orange section of wreath, until full. My wreath contains 14 loops.
Attach one Kunin Eco-fi® ClassicFelt™ 9” x 12” Craft Cuts in Pirate Green to the hat top with Beacon Felt Glue.
Measure and cut two 2” strips of Kunin Eco-fi® ClassicFelt™ Pirate Green with ruler and Aquarellable pencil. Cut inside the lines and apply to hat brim with Beacon Felt Glue.
Measure and cut one 2” wide strip of Kunin Eco-fi® ClassicFelt™ Black. Apply to hat, just above brim. Trace and cut buckle from Kunin Eco-fi® ClassicFelt™ Gold, cut out and apply to center of black hat band. Trace and cut shamrocks from Kunin Eco-fi® ClassicFelt™ Apple Green and Neon Green. Cut stem from Neon Green shamrock. Apply small amount of hot glue to center of Apple Green shamrock, layer on Neon Green shamrock and scrunch center to create dimension. Apply green button to center of shamrock. Apply shamrock to “seam” on hat brim.
Attach Leprechaun hat to top of wreath with hot glue, making sure to position the hat so that that the wreath form does not show.
Trace and cut four leprechaun ears from Kunin Eco-fi® ClassicFelt™ Cream. Attach two shapes, back to back, to create a thicker ear. Repeat with second ear. Apply hot glue to edge of ear and attach to wreath, using photo as your guide. Repeat with second ear.
Here is a detail of the finished wreath!
