Adorable Felt Rainbow Decor

Creating decorations and party favors for St. Patrick’s Day is easy and fun with Kunin felt and bright colored gumball candies.  This project can be done with a sewing machine or fabric glue which makes it appropriate for kids and adults.

You will need:

  • 9” x 12” craft cuts Kunin Eco-fi Rainbow Classicfelt, 2 White, 2 Gold, 1 Red, 1 Blue, 1 Yellow, 1 Orange
  • Polyester stuffing
  • Fabric adhesive
  • Gumballs and packaging
  • Gold chocolate coins
  • Scissors, pencil, pins, sewing machine and thread (optional)

The first step is to bag up your gumballs like a rainbow.  I got these giant ones at the party store.  When you bag them, leave a little plastic bag at each end for attaching it to the other parts.  Next, cut out front and back pieces for a cloud and a pot (of gold).

Sew your cloud together leaving an opening that fits one end of the gumball package.  Do the same for the pot.  Then sew them all together by attaching the pot to the cloud with the candy.  If you want to make is spectacular, add a rainbow made of felt coming out of the cloud.  I stitched it together first then added it.
