Cupid’s Arrow

Cupid’s arrows are filled with love.  This arrow is a fabulous way to add a little love and décor for Valentine’s Day to your home or office.  It is easy to create and only requires a few materials.

To make it you will need:

  • 9″ x 12″ craft cuts of Eco-fi Classicfelt, Red
  • Branch
  • Hot Glue
  • Ribbon
  • Thread, Needle, Sewing Machine (Optional)

Clear all of the little sticks from your branch so it is straight.  Tie three pieces of ribbon to the shaft with the ends hanging at different lengths.

Ribbon

Cut a triangle out for the arrow head.  You can stitch on it to add character.  I used my sewing machine.  Attach it to the branch with hot glue.

ArrowHead

Cut felt pieces for the arrow fletching too.  I also added stitching to these.  Attach these to the branch with hot glue.

ArrowFletching

Add felt hearts to the bottoms of the ribbon using hot glue.  I cut these hearts out using a Sizzix die and die-cut machine.  To hand the branch I wrapped a little wire around the shaft.

Ta Da!

This would make a great project for all ages and would work great in a group environment.  I think we will make them in the Girl Scout troop!  What a great way to teach the parts of the arrow!

You can now find an expanded color line of Kunin Eco-fi Classicfelt; Eco-fiPlus™ Premiumfelt and ShaggiChic non-wovens fabrics in cut by the yard at your local Walmart; please inquire as to what is available in your area.

Cheers to LOVE and creating masterpieces,

Laura
